• If a person is not into Korean pop culture, they would have no clue who this man is, but they were, they would know that he is popular Asian celebrity. The advertiser used a celebrity in their advertisement to lure his fans to buy the ice cream to support him.

• Two of the hottest trending Asian celebrities coupled in a clothing brand does nothing more than attract two different fan groups into buying their clothing brand. It also pulls in people to buy activewear to go on hikes or bike rides or do anything active.

Exo Bus Ad:

Denotations: 

• 12 men’s faces on the bus
• 13 circles
• the middles circle states the name “EXO” and is formed into a logo
• The men are wearing the same suits
• The bus is all white
• The pictures of the man’s faces are greyscale
• At the bottom of the bus in between the tires have the names of the men

Connotation:  

• If you are like the group EXO buy their new album
• If you do not know who these men are get to know them
• These men are handsome buy their music

Mythology: 

• Again, hottest trending boy band in Asia promotes their album on public transportation to gain more fans and to attract regular citizens into buying their latest album.
